BannerSaver™ Mounting Instructions
Legal Considerations
Check city and highway department clearance regulations (usually 14 feet).
Top Bracket
• Position one bracket on pole with the long part (2-band area) UP. Banner arm should be straight out from pole.
• Duct tape bracket to pole to position and attach with 3 bands (a screw gun helps). Tighten very tight.
• Slip banner arm into the top hem of banner.
• Insert banner arm into nipple hole in bracket.
• Secure banner arm to bracket by inserting safety pin.
• Slip wire tie through grommet in banner hem and through safety pin.
• Tighten wire tie leaving a 1" space between the banner and bracket nipple. Do Not pull too tight as it will cause undue wear on hem and create a wrinkle in the banner.
Bottom Bracket
• Measure down from the bottom (1-band area) of the top bracket and mark pole at 7" less than the length of the banner (example: 73 inches for an 80" banner or 65 inches for a 72" banner.)
• Position bracket on pole with the short end (1-band area) UP towards
banner. This is the opposite of top bracket.
• Secure the long (2-band portion) of bracket to the pole with one
screw drive hose clamp – provided.
• Place banner arm into bracket nipple and PUSH UP HARD on arm to
create a gap between the 2-piece bracket casting near spring. NOTE: GAP IS EXAGGERATED IN DRAWING.
• Insert a 3/8" wedge (bolt or plier handle) into this gap which will keep the rod
tipped towards banner and relieve banner tension.
• Slip banner arm out of the bracket and slide into bottom banner hem.
• Place banner arm back into bracket and secure with safety pin.
• Slide banner towards bracket leaving a 1" space between banner and bracket nipple.
• Push up rod and remove wedge from bracket. The spring will force the rod down
and tighten banner. If banner appears too tight or too loose, reinsert wedge and adjust
bracket up or down as needed.
• Finish banding by adding two more bands (one more on the 2-band area and one to the 1-band area).
All bands must be TIGHTENED very tight.
• Slip wire tie through grommet in banner hem and through safety pin.
It is important that the brackets are mounted properly and the banners are tight to insure the life of
the banner. Check for necessary adjustments within 1 month or after the first really strong wind. NOTE:
For wood poles, insert a 3/8" x 4" lag bolt with washer into the holes in the bracket base (away from banner) |
